New Local Citizen Energy Partnership in Piémont Bruche

Fostering citizen-led energy initiatives requires solid local cooperation and reliable organizational frameworks to drive community-scale transitions effectively.

Through the support provided by the Encom-Hub project, the newly formed citizen group Energie Citoyenne Piémont Bruche (based in the area between Barr and Molsheim) has officially established a partnership with the regional cooperative Énergies Partagées en Alsace (EPA), becoming its very first local group in the Bas-Rhin department. Following the formal agreement hosted at the Duttlenheim Town Hall, the initiative can now rely on EPA’s established legal structure and proven expertise, a network boasting over 18 operational rooftop installations, more than 800 kW of installed capacity, and over one million euros invested in citizen energy.

This collaborative step marks the beginning of a promising partnership dedicated to empowering local communities and scaling up decentralized clean energy through the Encom-Hub initiative.
