Create innovative services to boost the development of Renewable Energy Communities to support the energy transition: this is the objective of the European ENC0M HUB project, financed by the European LIFE programme. To help the establishment and improvement of REC, ENC0M HUB will support the creation of regional hubs and pilot Energy Communities owned and managed by citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises and public authorities in ltaly, France, Spain and Bulgaria. CER support services will be designed, tested and expanded to accompany the promoters throughout the development process of the Energy Community.
The project kicked off in Bologna on the 24th and 25th of January 2024 with the first meeting among all Partners: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Energie Environnement, Alter Alsace Energies, ITE – lnstituto Tecnologico de la Energía, Concoval, Federación de Cooperativas Eléctricas, GVA IVACE, Cleantech Bulgaria.
During the kick off meeting the Partners joined several sessions and workshops to define and design activities and roadmaps for the implementation of Projet’s tasks and Work packages. In particular, on day 1, after Project management issues and communication tasks were presented by AESS and Legacoop, AURA EE led a discussion and presentation on design and validation of a replicable integrated service model. A Workshop on analysis and confrontation of existing projects and best practices on Energy Communities was also overseen by AURA-EE to start the activities for the implementation of WP2. ITE led the discussion on WP3 activities: Technical assistance to the implementation of ENC0M HUBs dedicated to applying and testing the ‘ENC0M HUB’ methodology and services that the partnership will set up in WP2. A related Workshop on Pilots presentation and clustering by type was also led by ITE. On day 2, AESS presented WP4 activities and main object, i.e. the identification and address of regulatory barriers to the creation of energy communities. The final discussion was overseen by Cleantech who illustrated WP5 activities on sustainability, replication, and exploitation of project results.
