Fostering decentralized energy models relies on continuous knowledge exchange across European regions to scale sustainable, participatory, and citizen-led frameworks effectively.
At the 4th European Congress of Energy Communities held in Navarra, Milagros Peña from the Energy Technological Institute (ITE) joined as a speaker to present key insights and methodologies emerging from the Encom-Hub project. The session showcased the operational track record of several pilot energy communities established across the Valencian Community, framing them as tangible benchmarks for cooperative governance, grassroots mobilization, and technical integration designed to facilitate local clean energy transitions.
This contribution reinforces the active role of Encom-Hub partners in driving community-scale energy ownership and advancing scalable cooperative practices across European territories, backed by European frameworks.
