On the 21st and 22nd of May 2025 Project Partners met in Valencia for the third Consortium meeting to discuss results and visit pilots.
The meeting was opened by IVACE, with an overview on their project related to the development of policies for promoting innovation of the Generalitat Valenciana, including, in the energy field, the promotion of energy efficiency and the implementations of renewable energy projects.
Partners had the change during the meeting to discuss and exchange opinions and good practices of their territories and compare different and shared approaches to the design and implementation of services to Energy Communities to better support them in their set up or growth.
The Partners then shared views and discussed the results and achievements in WP3 and on the participatory processes of activation of the local pilot initiatives, and the provision of corresponding services of the ENCOM HUBs like involvement of potential energy community members, technical and economic feasibility analysis, and legal assistance performed by the ENCOM HUBs. A further point of discussion was the state of the art of activities related to WP2 – on how to better design and then validate a replicable integrated service model. Presentation and exchange regarding the main results achieved so far on WP4 about how to identify and address regulatory barriers through specific recommendations for policy makers was the next step. The business development models and plans for the Hubs were also a central point of the discussion.
During day two, the Partners had the change to visit two of the Spanish Pilots and get in touch with representatives of Cooperativa Eléctrica de Alginet and Cooperativa Eléctrica de Guaduassuar who provided a deep insight on their activities and goals in transforming into renewable energy communities.
